Mint Dog Bone Recipe

Overview
Let's face it--dogs have, well, dog breath. A homemade dog biscuit with mint and parsley will help freshen their breath while also giving them a tasty treat. Mint and parsley are natural breath fresheners. The mint is also helpful for stomach pain and nausea. Parsley has an additional bonus for older dogs because it helps with arthritis. The crunchiness of these bones will help fight tartar and plaque on your dog's teeth as well.
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Step 2
Mix oil and water in large bowl.
Step 3
Add flour and other dry ingredients. Mix well until the dough forms a ball and is thoroughly mixed.
Step 4
Roll the dough out to a thickness of about 1/4 inch. Cut with cookie cutters or just cut into strips of a size appropriate for your dog.
Step 5
Bake for about 35 minutes or until biscuits are set and lightly brown. Turn off heat and let biscuits harden and dry in the cooling oven.
Step 6
Store in airtight container or refrigerate.
